My blog has been going for a couple of years now, and I have a few readers. I have been waiting for someone to point out that the URL for this blog references Acts 2:17, but the title references 1 Corinthians 14:19. Did anyone catch this? Did anyone care? Did anyone find any meaning in my choices? I think the fact that it has not come up says more about the number of readers (or lack thereof) I have, than of biblical literacy, but maybe it is a little of both.

“In the last days,” God says, “I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.” (Acts 2:17-18)
But in the church I would rather speak five intelligible words to instruct others than ten thousand words in a tongue. (1 Cor. 14:19)
In the past, I have considered renaming my blog or migrating the URL, but apparently there has never been any confusion, so I left it alone. Now I will just leave it out of stubbornness, with the excuse that I have already established a “web presence,” at least until there is a need to start fresh with a new blog.
Over the past few years, my blog topics have been a bit like scatter-shot, and postings irregular. The top posts for last year were:
I had noticed more people visiting the blog for the call to worship topics, so, while I plan on continuing my cultural, biblical personal musings, I will also attempt to post a call to worship each week following the Lectionary, which I began posting just over one month ago starting with Advent season. I hope someone finds them useful, if not for prompting a call to worship at their own church, at least for devotional reading. I will also write more book reviews.
