Call to Worship: The Voice of God

Someone posed the following question to me. If you had to choose one of these two people to narrate the story of your life which would you choose: Morgan Freeman or Jame Earl Jones?

My personal choice would be James Earl Jones; he has a deep voice and he voiced Darth Vader. On the other hand, Morgan Freeman has been the narrator choice of Hollywood for about the past two decades, and he has played God, twice!

However, only one voice is grand and powerful enough to narrate his own story, the voice of God, real God! His voice: brought forth creation (Genesis 1:1-5), is compared to a mighty storm (Psalm 29), proclaimed the mission of Jesus (Mark 1:4-11), and spoke through people as prophesy (Acts 19:1-7).

Ascribe to the LORD, O mighty ones, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.
The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is majestic.
The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace.
from Psalm 29
